Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Bruce (ranked 2649 p4p, 314 weight class) and Santiago Costa (ranked 2908 p4p, 344 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce misses with a wild combination.
Bruce is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Costa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bruce with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Costa to score with a decent uppercut.

Costa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Costa throws a punch but it's blocked by Bruce.
Bruce tries a body shot but Costa blocks it.
Costa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bruce is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bruce gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Costa.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruce digs a right hand into Costa's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Costa's gas tank.
Costa is working for takedown but Bruce is calmly controlling the position for now.
Robert Bruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Costa.
Costa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bruce misses with a body punch.

Bruce is looking to control Costa's arms but Costa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bruce has his back to the ropes.
Costa tries to throw a body punch but Bruce avoids it by throwing Costa back against the ropes.

Bruce is fighting off a takedown attempt but Costa is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bruce to the mat. Bruce regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Costa forces his way into half guard.

Costa in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bruce tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Costa!
