Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Grappling Penn (ranked 20574 p4p, 528 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 1329 p4p, 163 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 4 losses; Grappling Penn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 13 losses; Antonio Camatta! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Penn shoots in but no luck this time. Penn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Camatta swivels and escapes. Camatta is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Camatta closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Penn's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Penn (0) vs (2) Camatta Camatta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Penn is trying to keep Camatta in close.
Camatta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Penn is trying to hold Camatta in close to prevent damage but Camatta has managed to pass into half guard.

Camatta is aware though and is defending well. Camatta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Penn's guard. Camatta is taking a breather. Penn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Camatta prevents Penn from improving his position. Camatta takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Penn tries to hold on but Camatta postures up. Camatta manages to capitalize on a mistake by Penn to take his back! Camatta is looking to control Penn but Penn is wriggling around and keeping busy. Penn is really stuck here.
