Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Holey (ranked 6806 p4p, 211 weight class) and Cardo Dalisay (ranked 22399 p4p, 223 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cardo Dalisay was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holey walks into a jab.
Holey throws a head kick that misses.
Dalisay scores with a hook to the body. Holey takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dalisay takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dalisay misses with a right hand
and Holey counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dalisay!
Dalisay is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Holey stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Dalisay swings wildly with an uppercut but Holey uses good head movement to avoid it.

Holey tries to pull guard but Dalisay holds him up against the cage and eventually Holey drops back down to his feet.

Dalisay has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Holey is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Holey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dalisay's waist but Dalisay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holey off to one side.

Dalisay ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dalisay displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Holey.

Holey shoots in looking for a takedown but Dalisay manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Holey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dalisay throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Holey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The fight stays on the outside here - Holey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Holey feints and as Dalisay raises his hands in defense, Holey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dalisay wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Holey is now in half guard.
Dalisay tries to get to full guard but Holey has control of the leg.
Dalisay is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Holey has latched onto it... Big trouble! Holey pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Dalisay is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Holey!
