Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Changggg (ranked 3754 p4p, 386 weight class) and Son Gohan (ranked 6550 p4p, 499 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pedro Changggg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Son Gohan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Changggg ducks under a wild hook from Gohan. Gohan dives in for a single leg takedown but Changggg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Changggg lands with a shot to the body. Changggg misses with a few strikes there.
Gohan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Pedro Changggg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Changggg lands an overhand right. Gohan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gohan there as he acknowledges the shot. Changggg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gohan doesn't seem bothered though. Gohan shoots in looking for a takedown but Changggg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gohan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. An attempted straight right counter from Changggg misses the target. Gohan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gohan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Changggg defends it well. Changggg lands with a straight right. Gohan didn't see that one coming. Changggg scores with a jab to the head.
Changggg works Gohan's body with a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Changggg swinging wildly here.
Gohan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Changggg lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Changggg scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Nice jab there from Changggg. Changggg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gohan manages to avoid it. Gohan is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Pedro Changggg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Changggg misses the shot to the body. Changggg misses the shot to the body. Changggg paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Changggg is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. and Gohan counters with a single leg into guard. Changggg didn't expect that. Gohan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that Gohan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Gohan trying to control the position from guard on top but Changggg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gohan stays in close to Changggg's body and controls the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gohan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gohan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Changggg is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Changggg missing with a left hand there. Gohan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gohan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Changggg pushes Gohan away with a front kick. Changggg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Gohan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Changggg's guard. Gohan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gohan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Changggg keeps working. Gohan throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Changggg is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at DRAGON MMA - 13 Elite & 2 Double Elite Coaches that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gohan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Gohan throws a strike aimed at the side of Changggg's head but Changggg avoids it well. Gohan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Changggg, who protects the arm well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gohan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Changggg dominated that round. That's time! Changggg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

It looks like Son Gohan has been cut. Changggg landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Pedro Changggg dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Son Gohan's cut. That's time! Changggg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Gohan darts in looking for a takedown but Changggg gets double underhooks and turns Gohan into the cage. Gohan looks to land a right hand but Changggg moved out of range. Changggg getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Changggg tries to clinch there but Gohan circles away.
Changggg throws a body punch but Gohan moves out of range. Gohan with the counter takedown but Changggg avoids it easily. Gohan fails with a takedown attempt. Changggg fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gohan on the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gohan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Changggg tries to avoid it but Gohan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Changggg to the ground. Changggg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pedro Changggg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Son Gohan. Changggg fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gohan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gohan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gohan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Changggg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gohan manages to avoid it.

Changggg is looking to wear down Gohan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Gohan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Gohan closes the distance and clinches up with Changggg, looking for a takedown. Gohan pushes Changggg against the cage but Changggg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Son Gohan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Changggg misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gohan.

And that's the end of the fight! Pedro Changggg showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Changggg, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
