Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jarrod Sellers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Sylas!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sylas looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Sylas stands up from Sellers's guard - Sylas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sylas looks to score with a jab to the body but Sellers is just out of range.

Sylas closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sellers's guard.
Sylas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sellers wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sylas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sellers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sylas prevents Sellers from getting back to his feet.

Sylas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sellers is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sylas, into his guard.

Sylas has momentary wrist control but Sellers slips an elbow through the middle.

Sylas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sellers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sellers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sellers working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sellers darts in looking for a takedown but Sylas gets double underhooks and turns Sellers into the cage.
Sylas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Sylas misses with a head kick.
Bruce Sylas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sellers shoots in for a takedown but Sylas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sylas feints and as Sellers raises his hands in defense, Sylas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sellers has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sylas is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Sellers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Sellers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sellers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sylas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sylas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sellers shoots in looking for a takedown. Sylas tries to sprawl out of it but Sellers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sylas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sylas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sellers is looking for a sweep. Sylas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sylas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sellers keeps working.

Bruce Sylas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sylas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
