Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Errol Trevino (ranked 5794 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Alvarez (ranked 4314 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Alvarez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez drives through and clinches with Trevino against the cage.

Trevino could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Alvarez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Trevino is one step ahead there.

Alvarez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trevino pushes down on Alvarez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Trevino is nestled in close to Alvarez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Trevino decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Trevino escapes and gets back to his feet.

Trevino shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Alvarez is trying to stand.
Trevino looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Trevino seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alvarez for as long as he can get away with.

Adam Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alvarez gets caught flat footed, as Trevino shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Alvarez wants to get back to his feet but Trevino passes into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trevino is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Alvarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Trevino thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Errol Trevino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Trevino changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alvarez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Trevino has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Trevino decides to stand up, so the ref orders Alvarez to his feet.
Trevino steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Alvarez. That one must have hurt.

Trevino pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Alvarez is trying to force a seperation but Trevino has the dominant position.

Trevino scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Alvarez tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Trevino gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Alvarez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trevino, pushing him back against the cage.

Alvarez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Trevino uses from the top position.

Alvarez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Trevino uses it to pass to side control.

Trevino tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trevino has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Trevino takes a little break here. Alvarez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Errol Trevino will probably get the nod.
That's time! Trevino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Trevino throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alvarez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Trevino is in Alvarez's guard.
Trevino is standing up over Alvarez. Alvarez looks to escape but Trevino dives into side control.

The referee asks Trevino politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Trevino prefers to stall for the moment though.

Alvarez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Trevino stands up and beckons Alvarez to his feet.

Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trevino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alvarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Trevino bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alvarez's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trevino drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Alvarez is looking to stand back up but Trevino counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Alvarez.

Trevino's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trevino, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
