Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 445 p4p, 63 weight class) and Samson Goldstein (ranked 561 p4p, 79 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 52 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Samson Goldstein!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Goldstein has time to react.
Goldstein needs to keep his hands up - Anstey had a free shot at his head there.

Anstey gets tackled into the cage by Goldstein. Goldstein maintains the clinch.

Anstey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Anstey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Goldstein sprawls well initially but Anstey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Goldstein is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Anstey scores with a couple of nice shots.
Anstey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Goldstein's head.

Anstey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Goldstein doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anstey.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Anstey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Goldstein's guard.
Goldstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anstey is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Anstey is trying to keep Goldstein in close.

Goldstein avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anstey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anstey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Goldstein moves in looking to clinch but Anstey pushes him off.

Anstey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Anstey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anstey is trying to control. Goldstein wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anstey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Goldstein is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anstey, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goldstein's corner is telling him to maintain position.
