PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarvis Young (ranked 3625 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Wolf (ranked 3118 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hugo Wolf was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarvis Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wolf wants to counter with a clinch but Young pushes him away.
Wolf on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Young enables Wolf to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Young manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Young knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wolf on the ground.
Wolf stands up over Young, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh Young is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wolf loads up on a big left hand. Young felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Wolf looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Young can't hide his disappointment, as Wolf celebrates the victory.
