Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 3177 p4p, 417 weight class) and Amiti Speyer (ranked 3380 p4p, 435 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cena might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Time Is Now. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Cena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amiti Speyer!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cena shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Speyer as he jumps to the side.
Speyer misses with a kick to the body.

Cena takes the fight into the clinch.
Cena blocks an uppercut.
Cena can't find room to land a body shot as Speyer controls the action.
Speyer lands a left hand.
Cena struggles to land a body shot inside as Speyer controls his hands.
Speyer has had enough of the clinch but Cena keeps him there for the moment.
Cena tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cena misses with a short punch on the inside.
Speyer misses with a hook to the ribs.

A frustrated look appears on Speyer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Speyer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cena has been working on his balance at Temp Spar Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Speyer.

Cena tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Speyer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cena is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Speyer to the mat. Speyer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Cena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speyer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Cena arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Speyer's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Cena!
