Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Johnson (ranked 1120 p4p, 143 weight class) and Kubo Sujitsu (ranked 2583 p4p, 294 weight class). Johnson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Time Is Now. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dwayne Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kubo Sujitsu! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sujitsu. Johnson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sujitsu, pushing him back against the cage. Sujitsu throws a punch but it's blocked by Johnson. Johnson misses with a short punch on the inside. Johnson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Johnson misses with a body punch.
Johnson misses with a hook from the clinch. Johnson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Johnson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch on the inside from Sujitsu fails to land. Johnson can't find room to land a body shot as Sujitsu controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sujitsu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Johnson has Sujitsu pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sujitsu tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Sujitsu's guard. Johnson throws a strike but Sujitsu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Sujitsu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson wants to sweep here but Sujitsu controlling him for the moment. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Sujitsu from controlling successfully. Johnson controlling Sujitsu's posture. Sujitsu tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Johnson working a defensive guard here.
Sujitsu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now. Sujitsu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sujitsu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Sujitsu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson controlling Sujitsu's posture. Sujitsu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sujitsu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sujitsu tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard. Johnson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Johnson scoring with punches to the head and body. Johnson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson advances position into side control! Sujitsu taking a bit of punishment here - Johnson scoring with strikes. Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sujitsu on the ground. Sujitsu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson working the head and body with strikes. Sujitsu is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it. Sujitsu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Johnson cracks Sujitsu with an elbow. That is naaassty. The strikes coming from Johnson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sujitsu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Johnson working the head and body with strikes.
Sujitsu is rocked! Nice strikes from Johnson there. Sujitsu is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him? Johnson lands a big elbow - Sujitsu is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Johnson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dwayne Johnson! During a confident post fight interview, Dwayne Johnson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
