Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Yamabuki (ranked 5065 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Hocking (ranked 3341 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Takashi Yamabuki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Corey Hocking! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hocking shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Yamabuki misses with a double jab
and Hocking counters by moving into the clinch. Hocking jumps into guard, dragging Yamabuki to the mat.
Yamabuki is fighting to break Hocking's control of his arms but Hocking is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Yamabuki wants to get up but he can't break Hocking's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamabuki being controlled here momentarily. Yamabuki wants to stand and escape but instead Hocking has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Yamabuki wants to get back to his feet but Hocking is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamabuki has his feet on Hocking's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Hocking manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yamabuki on his heels. He'll look to pass Yamabuki's guard now, I'm sure. Hocking stops Yamabuki from standing up. Hocking pushes down on Yamabuki's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hocking working Yamabuki over with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hocking lands strikes from half guard. Hocking slows the pace down in half guard. Hocking working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Yamabuki is trying to stand up here but Hocking is controlling him well. Yamabuki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hocking on the ground. Yamabuki has hold of Hocking's hands but Hocking slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Yamabuki is trying to stand up here but Hocking is controlling him well. Yamabuki is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hocking perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hocking scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hocking takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hocking's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hocking takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hocking trying to control the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hocking lands a nice short elbow. Hocking gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Hocking shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yamabuki is trying to defend but Hocking finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hocking maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Yamabuki could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hocking has cracked it and Yamabuki is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hocking!
