Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Minaj (ranked 5123 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fist O Steel (ranked 3331 p4p, 413 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nicholas Minaj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fist O Steel! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel scores with a punch to the head. Steel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Minaj appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Minaj dives in and grabs Steel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes down on Minaj's head and hops out. Minaj shoots in looking for a takedown but Steel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Minaj's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Steel lands a big head kick that sends Minaj tumbling to the mat! Steel takes a step backwards and waves Minaj back to his feet - he wants the finish! Minaj shoots in and gets a takedown into Steel's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Minaj thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Minaj drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Minaj jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Minaj is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Minaj. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Minaj trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steel wants to stand but Minaj is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minaj thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Minaj seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Minaj drops back looking for a leg! Steel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steel manages to kick Minaj off! Minaj jumps back into Steel's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Minaj controls from within his opponent's guard. Minaj drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Minaj seems to have locked his on tight now - Steel screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Minaj, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Nicholas Minaj!
