Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alan Vaughn (ranked 24849 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amine Kimo (ranked 5234 p4p, 0 weight class). Amine Kimo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Vaughn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amine Kimo! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kimo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vaughn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Vaughn tries to buck Kimo off but Kimo is having none of it. Kimo advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimo avoids the attempt from Vaughn to control. Kimo controlling the pace for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughn is squirming around, avoiding Kimo's attempts to control the action. Vaughn is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaughn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kimo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Vaughn is looking to get to half guard. Poor strikes thrown by Kimo there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Vaughn is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimo throwing strikes but Vaughn recovers to half guard. A much better position. It looks like Kimo is going to stand back up.
Vaughn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vaughn. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kimo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kimo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Vaughn has an active guard here but Kimo has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Vaughn is trying to get back to full guard. Kimo thows a huge punch but Vaughn dodges it nicely.
Kimo performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kimo is looking to pass Vaughn's guard but actually Vaughn recovers to full guard. Kimo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kimo controlling from the top position. Vaughn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kimo is one step ahead there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kimo trying to control but Vaughn is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amine Kimo dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kimo fails in his attempt to clinch. Kimo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vaughn is trying to defend but Kimo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kimo is trying to control. Vaughn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kimo trying to mount his opponent but Vaughn defends it. Kimo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughn tries to roll over but Kimo keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimo trying to control the action but Vaughn is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kimo not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kimo passes the guard and advances to mount! Vaughn regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimo stands up out of the half guard. Kimo gets a double leg takedown into Vaughn's guard. Kimo forces his way into half guard. Still in half guard, Kimo seems content to control. Vaughn is trying to get back to full guard. Kimo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kimo throws a strike but Vaughn avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimo wants to control from the top but Vaughn keeps moving. Kimo looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Vaughn keeping moving, preventing Kimo from controlling successfully. Kimo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kimo gets to his feet. Vaughn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vaughn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kimo drives through with a takedown into guard. Vaughn manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kimo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kimo lands in his opponent's guard. Vaughn wants to sweep here but Kimo controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vaughn working a defensive guard but Kimo passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amine Kimo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Vaughn gets caught napping as Kimo dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughn manages to retain guard. Amine Kimo has got the better of the ground game so far. Vaughn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kimo is aware though and is defending well. Kimo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vaughn's guard. Vaughn wants to control but Kimo is keeping busy.
Vaughn wants to get back to full guard. Kimo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vaughn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Vaughn tries to roll over but Kimo keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vaughn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kimo pulls his head out easily. Kimo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kimo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kimo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Vaughn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kimo. Kimo wants to take a breather but Vaughn is having none of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kimo lands an overhand right.
Vaughn is rocked!
It looks like Alan Vaughn has been cut. Kimo rushes Vaughn and presses him up against the cage. Oh Vaughn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kimo manages to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kimo is on top in guard.
Kimo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kimo gets to his feet - Vaughn follows without any prompting. Kimo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kimo dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Vaughn has had enough and taps out.
