Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matel Huchkov (ranked 1050 p4p, 113 weight class) and Bronson Hughes (ranked 1340 p4p, 138 weight class). Hughes has chosen Slam - By: Onyx as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hughes lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Huchkov backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hughes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Huchkov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hughes scrambles back to his feet.

Huchkov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hughes.
Huchkov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round but I would say that Matel Huchkov will probably get the nod.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Hughes in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Huchkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Huchkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
