Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JR King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Princiotta!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails to land the takedown.
Princiotta is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King gets in close and instigates a clinch.
King crunches a lovely knee into Princiotta's ribcage.
King is struggling to control the position.
Princiotta drops to a knee looking for a takedown but King gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Princiotta wants a takedown but no success here.

Princiotta breaks from the clinch.
King moves out of range of the body kick from Princiotta.

King moves into the clinch.
King will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Princiotta up against the cage.

Princiotta is trying to drag King to the mat but King just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

King had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Princiotta is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. King Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Princiotta's back instead.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
King is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Princiotta knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Princiotta for a finish.
King keeps control of the position as Princiotta tries to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Princiotta rolls, trying to escape but King keeps control of the position.
King slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
King has the hooks in. Princiotta is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Princiotta trying to get back to his feet but King is in full control for now.
King tries to get the hooks in deep but Princiotta pushed the leg off.

King rushes Princiotta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

King manages to pull guard.
King manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Princiotta manages to get himself to full guard.

King stands up and waves to Princiotta to follow him.
Princiotta misses with a jab, cross combination.
A combination from Princiotta does no damage.
Princiotta lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

King has closed the distance and engaged Princiotta in a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
JR King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
JR King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Princiotta is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now.
King throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Princiotta goes for a takedown attempt but King pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Princiotta manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Princiotta is positioning himself well to prevent King advancing to mount.
Princiotta is looking to control King's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Princiotta avoid being mounted?
King frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Princiotta tries to hold on but King pushes him away.
Princiotta working to try and regain half guard.
King fails to move to back control.
Princiotta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Princiotta tries to reverse the position but King maintains control.

King is going olschool here, as he tries to force Princiotta to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Princiotta shrugs it off.

King get's back to his feet.
Princiotta closes the distance looking to clinch
and King counters with a flying knee. Nice.
King has a takedown stuffed.
Princiotta lands with a right hand.

Princiotta keeps the fight on the outside.

Princiotta misses with a wild body shot.
Princiotta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by King.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Princiotta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.

King rushes Princiotta and presses him up against the cage.

Princiotta's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Princiotta trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Princiotta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Princiotta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

King lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Princiotta!
Princiotta is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Princiotta is bucking up trying to escape but King cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

King throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Princiotta has his hands clasped together but King breaks the hold and Princiotta is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by King!
