The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ferro.
Bigs looks for a takedown but Ferro sprawls well.
Bigs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferro swivels and escapes.
Bigs moves out of range of the strikes.
Bigs will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corey Bigs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bigs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferro swivels and escapes.
Ferro scores with the left hand. Bigs knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Corey Bigs has been cut.

A punch combination from Ferro misses.
Bigs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bigs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bigs lands a heavy elbow.
Bigs is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ferro is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ferro flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bigs anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ferro and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bigs slips an arm under Ferro chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bigs has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bigs is squeezing on Ferro like an anaconda would it's prey. Ferro fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
