PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Snake Under A T Rex Bottom (ranked 2432 p4p, 268 weight class) and Hin Areni (ranked 2265 p4p, 255 weight class). A T Rex Bottom comes to the cage accompanied by A Tribe Called Kotori. Areni has chosen Mosaique as his entrance music. Hin Areni told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Areni throws an ugly left hook that misses
and A T Rex Bottom counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Hin Areni has been cut.

Hin Areni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I was talking to A T Rex Bottom's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Areni has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

It looked like A T Rex Bottom was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Areni.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Areni. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

I would just about give that final round to Hin Areni.

Hin Areni really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
In defeat, Snake Under A T Rex Bottom stepped up to the mic, saying 'Noooooo, he got his stench on me... Ill be back...'.
