Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stasiek Burdon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Nova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burdon comes into the arena with Linkin Park - Bleed it out blaring out of the sound system. Stasiek Burdon had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Johnny Nova acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burdon moves into the clinch successfully.

Burdon is trying to trip Nova. He has hold of a leg but Nova is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Burdon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Nova wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burdon keeps working.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nova is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Burdon!
Burdon is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Nova has hold of Burdon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Burdon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
