Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stark comes to the cage accompanied by Go Into The Water. Shane Carwin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Stark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Carwin! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stark on the side of the head. Carwin connects with the punch. Carwin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stark looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carwin moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Stark dodges the ground and pound from Carwin. Carwin avoids the strikes from the bottom by Stark. Carwin just content to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Carwin decides to take the fight back to the feet. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Carwin has eaten all the pies!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stark cracks Carwin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Carwin throws a looping overhand right but Stark ducks down to avoid it. Stark moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Stark instigates a clinch. Stark breaks the clinch.
Stark gets a clinch. Carwin is looking to break free of the clinch but Stark has double underhooks. Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carwin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stark can pounce on him.
Carwin looks gassed! Carwin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carwin looks to land a combination. Stark sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Stark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Knees in the clinch landing for Stark.
Stark's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Stark with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stark moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Stark shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Stark looking to isolate an arm here. Carwin doesn't see it coming and as Stark extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Stark!
