Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fist O Steel (ranked 4152 p4p, 495 weight class) and Adam Alvarez (ranked 5316 p4p, 549 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fist O Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a head kick but Alvarez moves out of range.
Steel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Alvarez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Steel prevents a body shot from Alvarez.
Steel has had enough of the clinch but Alvarez keeps him there for the moment.
Alvarez is trying to pull guard but Steel has him pressed against the cage.
Alvarez goes for a takedown in the clinch but Steel prevents it.
Alvarez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fist O Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Alvarez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Alvarez shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Alvarez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarez was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.

Steel gets tackled into the cage by Alvarez. Alvarez maintains the clinch.

Steel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Steel throws a low kick but Alvarez moves out of range easily.
And Alvarez tries to counter it with a takedown but Steel pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Steel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Steel keeps the fight on the outside.
Steel looks to land a right hand but Alvarez moved out of range.
Steel throws a solid leg kick but Alvarez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Steel.
Alvarez looks for a takedown but Steel sprawls well.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Alvarez moves out of range easily.
Steel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alvarez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Steel stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Steel!


It looks like Adam Alvarez has been cut.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alvarez blocks a head kick by Steel.
Alvarez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alvarez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Steel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alvarez shoots in but no luck this time.

Steel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Steel sets himself, and Alvarez steps forward looking for the clinch! Steel avoids it this time.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel throws a body kick that misses
and Alvarez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No joy there for Steel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Alvarez shoots in and drives through. Steel sprawls well.
Alvarez throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Alvarez darts in looking for a takedown but Steel gets double underhooks and turns Alvarez into the cage.
Alvarez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alvarez tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily
and Steel counters with a solid body kick.
Jab, jab by Steel - just one landing.
Alvarez blocks a head kick by Steel.
Steel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steel throws a jab when Alvarez was well out of range.
Steel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alvarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Steel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Alvarez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steel.
Steel stuffs the takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alvarez. Steel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steel misses with an uppercut.
Steel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alvarez throws a body shot but no joy.
A left lands for Steel.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Steel.
Steel throws a big shot that misses.
Alvarez dodges the punch combination from Steel.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fist O Steel dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Adam Alvarez's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Alvarez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A jab from Steel misses.
Steel connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A right-left combo lands from Steel.

Alvarez shoots in and gets a takedown into Steel's guard.
Steel is looking to stand back up but Alvarez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Steel.

Alvarez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Steel tries to kick Alvarez off but Alvarez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Steel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Steel tries to get out of the position.
Steel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alvarez.
Alvarez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alvarez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Alvarez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Steel is looking to escape.

Alvarez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Steel manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Steel wants to get back to his feet.
Alvarez tries to advance to mount but can't.
Steel wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Alvarez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alvarez works to advance to full mount. Steel defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Alvarez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Steel's face.
Steel is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Steel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alvarez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Alvarez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Steel throws the left hand but Alvarez avoids the punch easily.

Steel gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Steel wants to slow Alvarez down by chopping away at his legs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alvarez.
Steel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Alvarez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel scores with a sloppy right hand. Alvarez should have avoided that one.
Steel is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alvarez can do to turn this around?
Alvarez slips a straight right by Steel.
Alvarez tries to clinch but Steel is having none of it.

Alvarez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Alvarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Steel getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Steel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Steel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Alvarez goes for a double leg but Steel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steel continues to drive forward.
Steel seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Steel looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alvarez avoids the body shot from Steel.

Steel tries a head kick but it misses.
Steel loads up on a big right hand but Alvarez slips the punch.
Steel misses the shot to the body.
Alvarez wants to clinch.
Alvarez tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily
and Steel counters with a one-two to the body.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarez was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Steel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel scores with a jab. Alvarez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


Alvarez is rocked!

Steel ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Alvarez's jaw. Alvarez's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Steel does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fist O Steel!
Fist O Steel decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
