Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcellus Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yowis Ben!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ben doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Clay counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Good leg kick by Clay there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Ben walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That has opened up Yowis Ben's cut even more.
Ben has his takedown stuffed
and Clay counters with a nice body shot.
Clay cracks Ben's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Ben slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Clay can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marcellus Clay!
