Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dylan Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hiro Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Takahashi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head.
Takahashi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Peterson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Peterson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Takahashi but Takahashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peterson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Takahashi walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Peterson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Takahashi tries a quick counter leg kick but Peterson is wise to it.
Peterson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Horrible takedown attempt by Peterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Takahashi, which made it look bad.

Takahashi lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Peterson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Takahashi uses from the top position.

Peterson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Takahashi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peterson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Takahashi in his tracks.
Peterson closes the distance and clinches up with Takahashi, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes Takahashi against the ropes but Takahashi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Takahashi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Peterson is able to avoid easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Takahashi wants to clinch up but Peterson keeps it at a distance.

Peterson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Takahashi throws the kick towards the body but Peterson avoids it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Peterson cracks Takahashi with a solid left hand.
Peterson is looking to work some ground and pound but Takahashi has wrist control.
Takahashi wants to stand up but Peterson is controlling him.
Peterson pushing down on Takahashi's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Peterson is looking for a kimura but Takahashi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peterson to get the leverage.
Peterson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Takahashi is trying to stand back up but Peterson is controlling him
Peterson winds up and cracks Takahashi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Peterson is nestled in close to Takahashi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Peterson throws a strike but Takahashi avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Peterson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Peterson stands up over Takahashi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Peterson wants to control from the top but Takahashi keeps moving.
Takahashi wants to stand but Peterson is controlling the position.
Peterson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.


Takahashi is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Peterson advances position into side control!
Takahashi on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Takahashi is still in real trouble! Can Peterson finish him?
A big shot lands for Peterson! That's hurt Takahashi! Will he recover? Peterson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan Peterson!
A relieved looking Dylan Peterson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
