Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Austin (ranked 2465 p4p, 292 weight class) and Frank Martin (ranked 1532 p4p, 195 weight class). Frank Martin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Martin!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Austin lands a nice hook to Martin's body. Martin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Martin is looking to clinch but Austin is avoiding it.
Martin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Austin sprawls well. Austin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.
Martin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Martin shoots in looking for a takedown. Austin tries to sprawl out of it but Martin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Austin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyle Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Martin.

Austin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Martin's head backwards.

and Austin counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martin closes the distance and clinches up with Austin, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes Austin against the ropes but Austin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Austin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Martin goes for a double leg but Austin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Austin continues to drive forward.
Austin lands with a good body shot.

Austin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Austin scores with a nice strike.
Martin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A jab from Austin finds it's way through Martin's defenses.

Austin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Austin wants it to stay on the feet.
Austin connects with a body shot that sends Martin's belly button to the back.

Martin is still on wobbly legs! Can Austin finish him?
Austin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Martin walks straight into a right hand from Austin - that's dropped him! Austin jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Martin from any more punishment! Martin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kyle Austin!
