Marc Antoine Chausson struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chausson throws a predictable looking body shot

and Muramasa counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Muramasa looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Muramasa wants to control from the top but Chausson keeps moving.

Muramasa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Muramasa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chausson is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Muramasa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Muramasa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chausson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Muramasa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Muramasa is really struggling to control Chausson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A big right from Chausson misses.
Chausson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Chausson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Muramasa paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Muramasa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Muramasa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chausson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Muramasa maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Chausson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Muramasa has cracked it and Chausson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Muramasa!
