Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 1487 p4p, 48 weight class) and Master Wong (ranked 1626 p4p, 56 weight class). Master Wong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 51 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Master Wong! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eikmeyer closes the distance and clinches up with Wong, looking for a takedown. Eikmeyer pushes Wong against the cage but Wong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wong tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Mario Eikmeyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eikmeyer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eikmeyer lands in his opponent's guard. Our spies down at at A Gym inform us that Wong has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Wong has momentary wrist control but Eikmeyer slips an elbow through the middle. Wong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eikmeyer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eikmeyer works over Wong with some ground and pound from guard. Eikmeyer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Eikmeyer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Eikmeyer throws a strike but Wong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wong stacks Eikmeyer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wong! This has been an exciting period of action! Eikmeyer manages to get back to half guard.
