Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gennady Mikhasevich (ranked 837 p4p, 104 weight class) and Don Petersen (ranked 1120 p4p, 134 weight class). Petersen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. James Brown- Living in America kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gennady Mikhasevich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Petersen! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petersen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Petersen misses with a leg kick and Mikhasevich counters with a nice low kick that buckles Petersen's knee momentarily. Mikhasevich slips a jab from Petersen. Mikhasevich has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zero Tolerance in the buildup to the fight. Mikhasevich slips a jab from Petersen. Petersen jabs Mikhasevich right on the nose. Mikhasevich blinks but takes it well. Don Petersen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petersen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mikhasevich manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Petersen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Petersen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mikhasevich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Petersen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mikhasevich working for a triangle but Petersen defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mikhasevich pushes a forearm under Petersen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Petersen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
