Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Lara (ranked 7682 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Mayhem (ranked 4882 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayhem has chosen Eminem ft Rhianna- Monster as his entrance music. Jason Mayhem will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem throws a sloppy head kick and Lara moves out of range easily.

and Mayhem counters with a left and a right that stings Lara.
Mayhem throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lara seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mayhem moves to clinch but Lara breaks away
enabling Lara to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lara is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mayhem is surviving well by controlling Lara's body position as best he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mayhem is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
