Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Darrel Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Dyson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kidd paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dyson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kidd on his heels. He'll look to pass Kidd's guard now, I'm sure.
Dyson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kidd looking for a guillotine here but Dyson defends easily.
Kidd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dyson stands up from Kidd's guard - Dyson perhaps looking for a knockout.

Dyson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kidd is trying to defend but Dyson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kidd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dyson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kidd has Dyson in his guard.

Kidd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dyson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kidd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dyson has managed to get both his arms back between Kidd's legs - danger averted.

Kidd gets caught napping as Dyson dives in and scores a takedown. Kidd manages to retain guard.

Dyson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kidd enables Dyson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kidd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dyson is breathing heavily.
Kidd wants to stand but Dyson is controlling the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kidd is on top in guard.

Kidd tries to escape but Dyson is in control.

Kidd really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kidd is looking for a triangle but Dyson pushes his legs off easily.

I would just about give that final round to Lee Dyson.
Well Dyson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
