Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve McNights (ranked 6484 p4p, 553 weight class) and Alexey Molotov (ranked 2655 p4p, 312 weight class). Molotov has chosen Eminem - Phenomenal as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Molotov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McNights struggling a bit here.

McNights tries to bench press Molotov off him but Molotov keeps the position.

Molotov is taking a breather. McNights says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

McNights is trying to stand back up but Molotov is controlling him
Molotov looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

McNights is trying to escape back to his feet but Molotov uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Molotov avoids the strikes from the bottom by McNights.
Molotov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

McNights takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Molotov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McNights will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Molotov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McNights some visible discomfort.

McNights is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Molotov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Molotov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McNights was covering up waiting for the punch and Molotov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Molotov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McNights's guard.
McNights tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Molotov has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Molotov lands a heavy shot. That's hurt McNights! Molotov sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless McNights and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Alexey Molotov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
Steve McNights spoke after the fight, saying 'He is a very good fighter. I will come back stronger next time you see me'.
