Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hingle McCringleberry (ranked 7565 p4p, 229 weight class) and Kill Phil (ranked 7309 p4p, 223 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hingle McCringleberry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kill Phil!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from McCringleberry does no damage.
McCringleberry shoots in looking for a takedown. Phil tries to sprawl out of it but McCringleberry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Phil manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Phil throws a big shot that misses.
McCringleberry attempts a counter takedown but Phil avoids it well and moves away.
Phil throws the left hand but McCringleberry avoids the punch easily.
Phil connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McCringleberry momentarily.
Nice takedown defense from McCringleberry. No joy for Phil on that attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phil swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Phil has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McCringleberry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Phil circles away.

Phil throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McCringleberry tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Phil is in McCringleberry's guard.

Phil is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Phil seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCringleberry does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

McCringleberry is defending against the submission attempts here by Phil.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Phil drops back, looking for a kneebar! McCringleberry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McCringleberry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McCringleberry!

Phil postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McCringleberry is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Phil, into his guard.


Phil has his foot on McCringleberry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCringleberry works his way back into a safe position though.

McCringleberry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phil on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kill Phil dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McCringleberry doesn't manage to clinch there - Phil circles away.
McCringleberry seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Phil stuffs the takedown attempt from McCringleberry. McCringleberry gets slowly back to his feet.

A telegraphed right hand from Phil misses the target.
Phil stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Phil wants it to stay on the feet.
McCringleberry gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McCringleberry ducks under a wild hook from Phil.
Phil misses with a two punch combination.
Kill Phil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Phil keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phil looks to land a left hand but McCringleberry moved out of range nicely.

McCringleberry closes the distance and pushes Phil back into the cage.
Phil is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

McCringleberry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McCringleberry smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Phil closes the distance and lands a one-two.
McCringleberry goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Phil defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCringleberry.
McCringleberry's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Phil connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McCringleberry scrambles back to his feet.
McCringleberry moves in looking to clinch but Phil pushes him off.
Phil looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
McCringleberry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Phil as he jumps to the side.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McCringleberry lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Phil has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Phil and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Phil drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Phil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McCringleberry is looking to stand up but Phil isn't so interested in that idea.

Phil has gone for a leg lock! McCringleberry slips out almost immediately though and dives into Phil's guard.


McCringleberry got a little sloppy there for a moment and Phil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McCringleberry has managed to get both his arms back between Phil's legs - danger averted.

Phil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCringleberry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Phil has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. McCringleberry doesn't defend quickly enough and Phil has managed to lock this one up! Can McCringleberry escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Phil on a fantastic submission victory.
