Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Pera (ranked 160 p4p, 18 weight class) and Dixie Small (ranked 295 p4p, 36 weight class). Small has chosen Penis song as his entrance music. Pekka Pera is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixie Small! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pera moves away from the strike by Small. Pera avoids the body shot from Small.
Pera fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Pera lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Pera goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pera really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Pera cracks Small with a right hand to the side of the head. Pera uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Small. Small blocks a head kick by Pera.
Pera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Pera wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pera drops his hands momentarily and Small takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Pera uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Small.
Small has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Small steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pera. Small looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Small tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pera was well out of range. Poor timing from Small. A jab from Small misses. Pera takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Small is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Small is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pera connects with a solid leg kick. Pera looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pera stuffs the takedown attempt from Small. Small gets slowly back to his feet. Small looks to score with a jab to the body but Pera is just out of range. Pera throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Small tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pera is in Small's guard. Small has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pera content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Small has his foot on Pera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pera works his way back into a safe position though. Small escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pera trying to control but Small is working from the bottom. Small is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pera defends well. Small is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Small is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Small being controlled here, momentarily. Small is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pera controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pera avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Small keeping moving, preventing Pera from controlling successfully. Small working for a triangle but Pera defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Small is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Small had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pera defends it easily. Pera wants to control from the top but Small keeps moving. Pera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Small has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pera has managed to get both his arms back between Small's legs - danger averted. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Small has an active guard here but Pera has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dixie Small will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pera takes the fight into the clinch. Pera lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Small scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pera is leaning against Small and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Pera tries a body shot but Small blocks it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Pera. Small has a couple of punches blocked by Pera.
Small goes for a takedown attempt but Pera pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Small counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pera catches Small with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Pera tries to land a leg kick but Small saw it coming and moves away.
Pera lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Small misses with a wild body shot. Pera pushes Small up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pera effectively controlling the action here. Small is trying to pull guard but Pera has him pressed against the cage. Pera scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pera taking a breather. Pera struggles to land a body shot inside as Small controls his hands.
A head punch on the inside from Pera fails to land. Pera drops down looking for an ankle pick but Small pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pera scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Small takes a swing at Pera's ribcage but misses. Pera lands a head shot. Pera scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Small is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Pera rather than just go for the knockout. A swing and a miss from Small. Pera fires out a quick counter leg kick but Small just manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Small fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pera uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Small.
Pera appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Small looks to score with a jab to the body but Pera is just out of range. Pera throws a chopping leg kick but Small manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Small swings for the body but Pera moves out of range.
Small misses the shot to the body. A low kick from Pera is predictable there and Small makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Small takes a swing at Pera's ribcage but misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Small keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pera. Small lands with a nice body punch. Pera misses the shot to the body. Pera closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Small did well to prevent Pera getting side control. Small looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Small looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Small gets full guard. Small working for a triangle but Pera defends it easily.
Pera's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pera lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pera has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Small looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pera wants to control from the top but Small keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pera scoring with some ground and pound. Small looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pera has picked Small up and slammed him! Small can't keep hold of the triangle and Pera manages to pass to side control! Pera tries to move into full mount but can't pass Small's legs. Pera connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Small some visible discomfort.
Small is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pera connects with a decent elbow. Small gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pera perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Small wants to control but Pera is keeping busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pera connects with a nice short shot to Small's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Pera dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Small jabs at Pera's body. Pera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Small sprawls well. Small wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pera gets slowly back to his feet. A thudding body kick lands there by Pera!
Pera throws a body shot but no joy. Pera on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Small connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Small with a body punch. A glancing blow. Pera throws a shot from downtown. Small moves away and avoids it. Small will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Small throws out a loose jab but Pera uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice leg kick lands there from Pera.

Pera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pera dives in for a single leg takedown but Small sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Small ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Small swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pera throws a big shot that misses. Small digs a good body shot into Pera's ribs. Pera connects with a body shot that sends Small's belly button to the back. Dixie Small seems to be getting the better of the standup. Small works Pera's body with a nice hook. Pera forces Small back against the cage and clinches. Pera blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pera can't find room to land a body shot as Small controls the action.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Small is pressed up against the cage. Pera has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Small down to the mat. Small avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pekka Pera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Small takes a shot right to the bread basket. Small is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pera. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pera moves out of range of the strikes. Small dives in and grabs Pera's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pera pushes down on Small's head and hops out. Pera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Small manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Pera walks into a left hand. Dixie Small seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Small jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pera appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Pera fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Small has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pera misses with a hook. Small ducked under it nicely. Pera ducks under a wild hook from Small. Small throws a body punch but Pera moves out of range. Pera changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick from Pera misses. Pera is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Small. Nice defenses there by Small. A good leg kick by Pera. Pera lands a nice shot to the body.
Small checks a leg kick. Small fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pera jabs at Small's body. Pera throws a leg kick and Small counters with a stiff right hand. A looping hook to the body misses from Pera. Small does a little dance to reset his feet. Small lands a jab. Small misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pera.
Pera is looking to counter with a shot to the body. A momentary lapse in concentration from Small enables Pera to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Small manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Pera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Small escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Small takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pera is trying to control. Small wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pera lands with a punch from half guard. Small is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pera pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pekka Pera. I think Pera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
