Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin comes to the cage accompanied by Soviet National Anthem. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Emelianenko but Emelianenko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Emelianenko misses with a wild combination.
Emelianenko's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Emelianenko duly obliges.
It looks like Alexander Karelin has been cut.
Karelin dodges the punch combination from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karelin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karelin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice jab there from Emelianenko.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Emelianenko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Emelianenko connects with the punch.
Karelin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Emelianenko counters with a huge left! Karelin is in big trouble! He's backing up but Emelianenko isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Karelin from any more damage. A dominating finish by Emelianenko!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Emelianenko!
