Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Total Aleatorio (ranked 25008 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Potter (ranked 7285 p4p, 0 weight class). Total Aleatorio looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Total Aleatorio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Potter!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter has a takedown stuffed.
Aleatorio looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Aleatorio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Potter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Potter tries to score with a low kick but Aleatorio moves his leg out of the way.
Potter tries for a takedown but Aleatorio sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aleatorio throws a combination that misses

and Potter moves into the clinch.

Potter pulls guard successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Potter is on top in guard.

Potter throws a big right hand that misses.

Potter gets to his feet. Aleatorio looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potter drives through and clinches with Aleatorio against the cage.
Potter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Aleatorio's efforts to push away.
Potter wants a takedown.

and Potter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Potter is looking to break free of the clinch but Aleatorio has double underhooks.
Potter has Aleatorio pressed against the cage, preventing Aleatorio from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Potter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aleatorio is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Aleatorio has had enough of the clinch but Potter keeps him there for the moment.
Potter is struggling to control the position.
Potter just leaning against Aleatorio, taking a breather.

Potter gets control of Aleatorio's arms and successfully pulls guard. Potter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Potter is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aleatorio can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Potter controls the pace.
Potter prevents Aleatorio from getting back to his feet.
Potter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Potter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Potter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Potter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Aleatorio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Potter on the ground.

Potter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aleatorio, up you get!

Potter moves into the clinch.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Potter.
Aleatorio gets underhooks to prevent Potter's takedown attempt.

Potter gets control of Aleatorio's arms and successfully pulls guard. Potter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Potter working for a triangle but Aleatorio defends it easily.

Aleatorio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Potter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aleatorio has managed to get both his arms back between Potter's legs - danger averted.

Potter manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Potter rushes Aleatorio and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Potter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Potter darts in looking for a takedown but Aleatorio gets double underhooks and turns Potter into the cage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Potter is defended easily by Aleatorio.
Aleatorio seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Potter drives through and clinches with Aleatorio against the cage.
Aleatorio is trying to break the clinch but Potter has him pressed against the cage.

Potter decides to pull guard.
Aleatorio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Potter kicks Aleatorio off and gets to his feet.
No joy there for Aleatorio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Aleatorio blocks a head kick by Potter.
Potter shoots in but Aleatorio avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie Potter dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aleatorio's waist but Aleatorio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.
Potter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Potter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Potter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aleatorio pinned against the cage. Aleatorio gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Potter has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Aleatorio uses from the top position.
Aleatorio wants to stand and escape but instead Potter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Potter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Potter looking to break Aleatorio's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Aleatorio remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Potter will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Can Aleatorio hold on?! Potter is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Potter is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Potter is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Aleatorio defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Charlie Potter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Charlie Potter seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Potter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Aleatorio can't keep his opponent in guard - Potter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Potter throwing shots but Aleatorio is blocking nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Potter lands a nice short elbow.
Aleatorio looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Potter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aleatorio's head.

Potter moves nicely into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Potter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Potter throws an elbow but Aleatorio slips to the side and avoids it well.
Potter works to advance to full mount. Aleatorio defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Potter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Total Aleatorio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for Potter with that takedown attempt.
Aleatorio tries to clinch up but Potter circles away and keeps his distance.

Aleatorio gets tackled into the cage by Potter. Potter maintains the clinch.
Aleatorio wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Potter has him pressed against the cage.

Potter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Potter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aleatorio as he jumps to the side.
Aleatorio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aleatorio wants it to stay on the feet.
Aleatorio lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Potter shoots in looking for a takedown but Aleatorio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Potter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Potter looks to land a combination but Aleatorio avoids it well.
Aleatorio works over Potter's head and body with a nice combination.
Potter cracks Aleatorio with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aleatorio lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Potter circles away quickly and effectively.
Potter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aleatorio defends it nicely.

I've got Potter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
