Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Navarro (ranked 24485 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pupuki Namasuzuki (ranked 4813 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alejandro Navarro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pupuki Namasuzuki! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Namasuzuki clinches. A frustrated look appears on Navarro's face as he tries to break the clinch. Namasuzuki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Navarro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Navarro could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Namasuzuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Navarro tries to keep at a distance but Namasuzuki has taken the fight into the clinch. Namasuzuki jumps guard and drags Navarro to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Namasuzuki is pulling down on Navarro's head. It's preventing any offense from Navarro, at least for the moment. Namasuzuki wants to control but Navarro passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Namasuzuki wants to control but Navarro is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Navarro lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Navarro lands with a punch from half guard. Navarro stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Navarro tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Namasuzuki defends well and Navarro ends up having to push Namasuzuki into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Navarro fails with the takedown and Namasuzuki counters with a nice right hand that sends Navarro toppling to the canvas! Navarro scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Namasuzuki finish him?!
It looks like Alejandro Navarro has been cut. Nice sprawl there from Namasuzuki as Navarro shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Navarro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Namasuzuki moves into the clinch successfully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Navarro trying to control the position but instead, Namasuzuki has worked for underhooks and has pushed Navarro into the cage. Navarro stalling the fight.

Navarro tries to break the clinch but Namasuzuki is controlling the position. Namasuzuki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Navarro avoids it. Namasuzuki is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Navarro is defending well. Navarro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Navarro has Namasuzuki pressed against the cage, preventing Namasuzuki from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Namasuzuki with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Navarro is breathing heavily. Navarro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Namasuzuki after a bit of a struggle. Namasuzuki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Namasuzuki gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Namasuzuki jumps guard but Navarro stands there with Namasuzuki around his waist. Namasuzuki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Namasuzuki closes the distance and pushes Navarro back into the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Navarro takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A frustrated look appears on Namasuzuki's face as he tries to break the clinch. Namasuzuki goes for a takedown in the clinch but Navarro prevents it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Namasuzuki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Navarro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Namasuzuki avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Navarro tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Namasuzuki swivels and escapes. Namasuzuki has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Navarro is landing a low percentage of strikes. Namasuzuki gets in close and instigates a clinch. Namasuzuki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Namasuzuki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Namasuzuki displaying some good clinch control by pressing Navarro up against the cage. Navarro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Namasuzuki's waist but Namasuzuki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Navarro off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Namasuzuki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Navarro went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Navarro shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Navarro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Namasuzuki misses with a low kick.
Navarro goes for a double leg but Namasuzuki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Namasuzuki continues to drive forward. Navarro misses with a takedown and Namasuzuki counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Namasuzuki works Navarro's body with a nice hook. Navarro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Navarro wants it to stay on the feet. Namasuzuki shoots in for a takedown but Navarro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Navarro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Namasuzuki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Navarro somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Namasuzuki works over Navarro's head and body with a nice combination. Navarro misses with a takedown and Namasuzuki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Alejandro Navarro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Navarro gets a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Namasuzuki just leaning against Navarro, taking a breather. Namasuzuki tries to pull guard but Navarro holds him up against the cage and eventually Namasuzuki drops back down to his feet.

Namasuzuki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Namasuzuki prevents a body shot from Navarro. A nice right hand lands inside from Namasuzuki. Namasuzuki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Navarro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Navarro can't get the takedown.
Namasuzuki has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Namasuzuki working hard to break the clinch. Navarro goes for a takedown in the clinch but Namasuzuki prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Namasuzuki wants a takedown but no success here.
Navarro keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Namasuzuki's efforts to push away. Navarro is trying to break the clinch but Namasuzuki is controlling him. Navarro is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Namasuzuki tries to pull guard but Navarro won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Navarro can't get the takedown.
Pupuki Namasuzuki seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Navarro is trying to force a seperation but Namasuzuki has the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Namasuzuki tries for a takedown but Navarro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Navarro misses with a takedown attempt - Namasuzuki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Namasuzuki is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Namasuzuki is looking to land body kicks. Navarro scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Namasuzuki is looking to get back to his feet here but Navarro is keeping cool and he's managed to take Namasuzuki's back. Navarro lands a shot to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Namasuzuki looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Alejandro Navarro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pupuki Namasuzuki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Namasuzuki won't enjoy being in this position. Navarro looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Namasuzuki is tapping - it's over boys! Navarro picks up the submission victory!
