Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Linwood (ranked 4363 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saifulla Rakhmonov (ranked 3321 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Linwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Saifulla Rakhmonov! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rakhmonov with a poor takedown and Linwood counters with a nice uppercut. Linwood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rakhmonov on the side of the head. Rakhmonov fails with a takedown attempt. As Rakhmonov looks to move away, Linwood throws a big counter combo but Rakhmonov just gets out of the way. Rakhmonov darts in trying to clinch and Linwood counters with a stiff right hand. Linwood throws a nice looking combination but Rakhmonov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Linwood tests Rakhmonov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Linwood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rakhmonov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Linwood defends well and Rakhmonov ends up having to push Linwood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. George Linwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saifulla Rakhmonov. Linwood has a takedown stuffed. Rakhmonov scoring well with a low kick there.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Rakhmonov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rakhmonov looks for a takedown but Linwood sprawls well. Linwood appears to be looking for a big counter. Linwood fails with a takedown attempt. Rakhmonov wants to clinch. Rakhmonov has his takedown stuffed and Linwood counters with a series of strikes. Rakhmonov will be more careful next time no doubt. Linwood fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rakhmonov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Linwood's waist but Linwood gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rakhmonov off to one side. Linwood tries to close the distance and clinch but Rakhmonov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Linwood fails to land with a series of punches.
Linwood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rakhmonov's waist but Rakhmonov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Linwood off to one side. A countering left hand to the body from Rakhmonov misses. Rakhmonov tries to move into range but Linwood moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Linwood misses with a double jab.
Linwood closes the distance and clinches up with Rakhmonov, looking for a takedown. Linwood pushes Rakhmonov against the cage but Rakhmonov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Linwood takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rakhmonov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rakhmonov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Linwood throws out the jab. Some wild striking there from Rakhmonov.
Linwood is looking to counter punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rakhmonov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rakhmonov looks winded! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Linwood is defended easily by Rakhmonov. Rakhmonov closes the distance and clinches up with Linwood, looking for a takedown. Rakhmonov pushes Linwood against the cage but Linwood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rakhmonov fails with the takedown. Linwood was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Linwood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rakhmonov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Linwood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Linwood is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Linwood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rakhmonov avoids it really well and circles away. Rakhmonov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Linwood counters with a straight right hand. Rakhmonov tries to clinch and Linwood connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rakhmonov closes the distance but Linwood moves to the side and Linwood counters with a series of strikes. Rakhmonov will be more careful next time no doubt. Rakhmonov fails with the takedown and Linwood counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Linwood dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Linwood dives in and grabs Rakhmonov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rakhmonov pushes down on Linwood's head and hops out. Linwood tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rakhmonov finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Linwood lands a jab-cross combination.
Rakhmonov is rocked! Linwood shoots in but no luck this time. Rakhmonov is still on wobbly legs! Can Linwood finish him? Linwood connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Rakhmonov to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Linwood!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). George Linwood!
