Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 2703 p4p, 333 weight class) and Amiti Speyer (ranked 3133 p4p, 373 weight class). Cena's entrance music is My Time Is Now. A fine choice. John Cena has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amiti Speyer!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Speyer.


It looks like John Cena has been cut.
Speyer looks to score with a jab to the body but Cena is just out of range.
Speyer's coach down at Temp Spar Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Speyer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Speyer throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cena's head.
Cena uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Speyer.

Cena moves into range and clinches up with Speyer.
Speyer is trying to break the clinch but Cena is controlling him.

Speyer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cena's guard.

Cena is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Speyer is aware though and is defending well.

Cena manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Speyer manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cena throws an elbow that misses. Speyer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cena's guard. Nice move by Speyer!

That was a close round but I would say that John Cena will probably get the nod.

Cena shoots in looking for a takedown but Speyer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cena's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Speyer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Speyer is rocked!
The crowd goes nuts as Cena knocks Speyer out cold with a massive hammerfist! Cena Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Cena!
A relieved looking John Cena thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
