Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Guerrero (ranked 701 p4p, 102 weight class) and Jomar Galang (ranked 1962 p4p, 253 weight class). Guerrero's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, My Time Is Now. Galang has chosen No Other Name as his entrance music. Jomar Galang has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eddie Guerrero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jomar Galang! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guerrero misses with a wild body shot. Guerrero slips under a jab. Guerrero avoids a punch combination nicely.
Guerrero feinted with a counter takedown. Guerrero takes a swing at Galang's ribcage but misses. A jab from Galang misses. Guerrero feinted with a counter takedown. Guerrero keeps the fight on the outside. Galang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Guerrero. Galang lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Galang connects with a single shot there. Guerrero slips under a jab from Galang. Guerrero drops down looking for a counter takedown but Galang sprawls and moves away. Guerrero feints and as Galang raises his hands in defense, Guerrero changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Galang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Galang had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guerrero defends it easily. Galang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guerrero defends well. Guerrero has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Guerrero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Guerrero lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guerrero postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Galang preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Galang looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Guerrero advances to half guard. Guerrero is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Guerrero is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Guerrero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Galang is rocked! Guerrero is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Galang is hurt! He's hurt bad - Guerrero fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Galang from any more punishment! Congratulations to Guerrero! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Guerrero! A relieved looking Eddie Guerrero thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Jomar Galang was interviewed post fight and said 'The initial or tentative explanation of an observation is called a hypothesis.'.
