Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 2894 p4p, 306 weight class) and Ice Tea (ranked 3602 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan comes into the arena with Five Finger Death Punch- Bad Company blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Duggan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ice Tea! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duggan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jim Duggan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tea shoots for a takedown but Duggan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tea takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Duggan lands a leg kick that knocks Tea off balance momentarily. Duggan lands a nice shot that snaps Tea's head back.
Duggan stuffs the takedown. Tea shoots in for a double leg but Duggan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jim Duggan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ice Tea. Tea walks into a left hand. Tea tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Duggan, as that shot connected.
Tea shoots and misses and Duggan counters with a shoot takedown. Tea fights it but they end up in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Duggan postures up and lands a big shot to Tea's brow. Tea escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duggan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Duggan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tea swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duggan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tea's head. Tea has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Duggan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tea. Tea is trying to control Duggan's posture but Duggan avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tea taking punishment in the form of punches.
Tea felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Tea sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Tea tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Duggan working Tea over with strikes. Tea is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duggan pulls his head out easily.

Duggan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tea is trying to control but can't.
Duggan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Duggan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Duggan lands with a punch from half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tea tries to get to full guard but Duggan has control of the leg.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tea is rocked! Duggan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Tea is hurt! He's hurt bad - Duggan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Tea from any more punishment! Congratulations to Duggan! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Duggan! A relieved looking Jim Duggan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
