Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riley Escobar (ranked 2989 p4p, 332 weight class) and No Way (ranked 2140 p4p, 249 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Escobar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Never Gone Get It. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, No Way! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobar has managed to clinch.
Escobar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Way to keep the fight standing. Escobar jumps guard but Way stands there with Escobar around his waist. Escobar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Way tries to circle away but Escobar has him pinned against the ropes. Escobar pulls guard successfully.
Escobar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Escobar keeping moving, preventing Way from controlling successfully. Way is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Escobar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Escobar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Way is fighting to break Escobar's control of his arms but Escobar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Way would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Escobar keeping moving, preventing Way from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Escobar fails to land with a series of punches.
Way connects with a right hand. Escobar shakes it off. Way lands a big uppercut and Escobar crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Escobar looks OK. Way waves Escobar back to his feet!
Escobar is rocked! Way throws a jab but it's blocked by Escobar. Oh Escobar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Escobar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Way wants to get back to his feet. Escobar is looking to take a break and control but Way is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Escobar seems to have got his legs back now. Escobar thows a huge punch but Way dodges it nicely.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Way avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Escobar. Way blocking the ground and pound attempt from Escobar. Escobar winds up and cracks Way with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escobar is working for a kimura but Way is defending it quite comfortably.

Escobar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Way fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Escobar on the side of the head. Escobar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Escobar throws a series of punches but Way avoids them all with ease. No Way is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Escobar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Way's coach down at JAVI Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Way's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A right-left combo lands from Escobar. Escobar blocks a leg kick. Way jabbing away but nothing is landing. Way instigates a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Escobar lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Escobar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Way sends Escobar crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Way is motioning to the referee to let Escobar up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Escobar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Way sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Escobar somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riley Escobar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Escobar has Way up against the ropes in a clinch.

Way drops Escobar with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Escobar! Way dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). No Way!
