Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Beam!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Ramirez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beam doesn't seem phased though.
Ramirez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ramirez misses the jab.
Beam on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ramirez tries to bum rush Beam with a series of wild strikes but Beam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ramirez misses with a two punch combination.
Ramirez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Beam fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ramirez sprawls well initially but Beam persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramirez wants to get back to full guard.

Beam looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ramirez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beam has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ramirez defend it? Beam steps over the head and cranks it - Ramirez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Beam!
