Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seishin Ryoshun (ranked 1524 p4p, 56 weight class) and Hiro Manowaru (ranked 986 p4p, 36 weight class). Ryoshun comes to the cage accompanied by The Strumbellas - Spirits. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seishin Ryoshun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hiro Manowaru! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Ryoshun. Ryoshun scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Manowaru throws the kick towards the body but Ryoshun avoids it. Manowaru has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Manowaru smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Seishin Ryoshun has been cut. Manowaru blocks a jab. Ryoshun throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Manowaru sees it coming and avoids it easily. Manowaru jabs Ryoshun right on the nose. Ryoshun blinks but takes it well. Manowaru with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ryoshun to score with a decent uppercut. Ryoshun connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Ryoshun throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ryoshun bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ryoshun misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice side step and Manowaru releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Ryoshun lands a slapping body shot.
Ryoshun misses the shot to the body. Manowaru looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Manowaru walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryoshun dips to his left and cracks Manowaru with an uppercut! Ryoshun is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manowaru sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Manowaru smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Manowaru throws a jab when Ryoshun was well out of range. Ryoshun swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Decent striking displayed by Manowaru there. Ryoshun shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Manowaru pinned against the cage. Manowaru gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Manowaru now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Ryoshun tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manowaru defends well and Ryoshun ends up having to push Manowaru into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seishin Ryoshun. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manowaru with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ryoshun to score with a decent uppercut. Manowaru cracks Ryoshun with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Manowaru has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ryoshun to stand back up!
Ryoshun is rocked!
Seishin Ryoshun's cut is getting worse. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manowaru batters Ryoshun with a massive right followed by a huge left! Ryoshun is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Manowaru lands a final crushing right hand to drop Ryoshun to the mat with a gruesome thud! Manowaru is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hiro Manowaru! Hiro Manowaru seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Seishin Ryoshun was interviewed post fight and said 'Losing feels worse than winning feels good.'.
