Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vitaly Ragozin (ranked 6006 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hafid Lumihi (ranked 4086 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitaly Ragozin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hafid Lumihi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lumihi lands with a right hand.
Lumihi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Lumihi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ragozin did well to prevent Lumihi getting side control.

Ragozin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lumihi defends it easily.
Ragozin is trying to keep Lumihi in close.
Lumihi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lumihi wants to get up but he can't break Ragozin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ragozin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lumihi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ragozin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ragozin tries to counter with a takedown but Lumihi is quick to defend against it.

Lumihi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ragozin's guard.
Ragozin is looking to stand back up but Lumihi counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ragozin.

Still in half guard, Lumihi seems content to control.
Lumihi is keen to just control but Ragozin is a slippery customer.
Ragozin is looking to improve his position.

Lumihi is working for a kimura but Ragozin is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ragozin tries to roll over but Lumihi keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Lumihi seems content to control.
Lumihi tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ragozin controls his leg.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ragozin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ragozin tries to get out of the position.

Lumihi stands up and beckons Ragozin to join him on the feet.

Lumihi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ragozin drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lumihi sprawls and moves away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ragozin shoots for a double leg takedown but Lumihi sprawls well. He's pushed Ragozin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ragozin avoids the head kick by Lumihi.
Ragozin tries to counter by clinching up but Lumihi breaks away and moves out of range.
Ragozin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ragozin wants it to stay on the feet.
Lumihi throws the kick towards the body but Ragozin avoids it.
Ragozin shoots in for a takedown but Lumihi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitaly Ragozin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ragozin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lumihi but Lumihi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ragozin wants to hold on but Lumihi pushes him away.
Lumihi cracks Ragozin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ragozin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lumihi lands a heavy elbow.
Lumihi breaks from Ragozin's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Ragozin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Lumihi lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Lumihi lands a couple of good shots and Ragozin has given up his back, trying to escape the position!


Ragozin is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hafid Lumihi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lumihi.
Oh Ragozin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lumihi has Ragozin up against the cage in a clinch.
Ragozin seems to have got his legs back now.
Ragozin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Vitaly Ragozin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hafid Lumihi.
The referee calls for Lumihi to work.

Lumihi is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ragozin sees it coming and defends easily.
Lumihi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lumihi tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Ragozin works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hafid Lumihi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lumihi looking to sit in guard and control but Ragozin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ragozin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lumihi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Lumihi controls Ragozin momentarily but Ragozin frees himself.

Ragozin wanted to stand there but Lumihi had control of the position.
Ragozin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ragozin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Lumihi is working an open guard so Ragozin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lumihi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ragozin was covering up waiting for the punch and Lumihi finishes the takedown easily into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ragozin is on top in guard.

Ragozin seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vitaly Ragozin.
Well Lumihi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
