Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Flores (ranked 23645 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Baeyens (ranked 6621 p4p, 0 weight class). Baeyens is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Insomnia. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Edgar Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Baeyens!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baeyens clinches up with Flores and pushes him back against the cage.

Baeyens pulls guard successfully.
Flores with a flurry of punches that miss.
Flores keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Baeyens's head.
Flores has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Baeyens working for submissions but it's allowed Flores to get to half guard.
Flores really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Flores is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Baeyens trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Flores manages to pass to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baeyens can do anything to dispel that myth.
Baeyens is trying to escape the mount.
Flores postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Baeyens looks a forlorn figure.

Baeyens is wriggling around trying to escape.

Flores is working for a guillotine from mount but Baeyens frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baeyens felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Baeyens tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Flores looking to secure an arm triangle but Baeyens defends it well.
Flores thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Baeyens can't escape the position.

Flores stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Baeyens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Flores napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Flores sneaks out the side door and pushes Baeyens away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Baeyens tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Flores drops down looking for a counter takedown but Baeyens sprawls and moves away.
Baeyens throws a hook but Flores avoids it easily.
Flores appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Baeyens wants to clinch up but Flores keeps it at a distance.
Baeyens throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Flores decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Baeyens's guard.
Baeyens wants to get back to his feet but Flores passes into half guard.


Baeyens pushes Flores off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baeyens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Baeyens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Flores throws Baeyens to one side and escapes!
Baeyens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flores swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Flores was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A head kick misses from Baeyens.

Baeyens fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Flores, pushing him back against the cage.
Flores using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Baeyens works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Baeyens looks winded!
Baeyens seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edgar Flores dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Baeyens darts in trying to clinch

and Flores counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Flores.
Flores working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Baeyens scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Flores keeps the fight on the outside.

Baeyens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Flores quickly recovers to half guard.

Flores has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Baeyens is on him like a limpet, forcing Flores back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baeyens tightens his grip and picks Flores up, before dumping him to the ground. Flores manages to land in guard.

Flores is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Baeyens presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Flores is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Baeyens can do to turn this around?

Baeyens jumps guard.
Baeyens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Baeyens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flores. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baeyens working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Flores has passed into half guard!
Baeyens is breathing heavily.
Flores winds up and cracks Baeyens with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Flores landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Baeyens has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Flores escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Flores!
Flores lands a decent elbow from side control.

Baeyens is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Baeyens bucks up and tries to throw Flores off but instead Flores has got his back!

Flores is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Baeyens is defending well though. Flores let's go of the attempt for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baeyens is in bad spot here.
Flores will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Baeyens trying to get back to his feet but Flores is in full control for now.
Flores scores with punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Flores is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Baeyens is tapping out! This one is all over!
