Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Matousek (ranked 5133 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seung Woo Kim (ranked 5101 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Matousek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Seung Woo Kim! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim tries to clinch there but Matousek circles away.
Matousek went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kim moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Jacob Matousek has been cut. Kim looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kim tries to clinch but Matousek is having none of it. Matousek was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kim misses with a takedown and Matousek counters with a thumping low kick. Matousek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kim is looking to clinch but Matousek is avoiding it.
Matousek scores with a jab. Kim acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Matousek defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kim. Matousek scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kim in his tracks. Horrible takedown attempt by Matousek or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim, which made it look bad. Matousek stuffs the takedown. Jacob Matousek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seung Woo Kim. Kim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matousek fails with a takedown attempt. Kim feints a counter leg kick. Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matousek swats him away and circles back towards the center. Matousek fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kim just manages to avoid it. Matousek swats away the attempt to clinch by Kim. Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Matousek stuffs the takedown attempt from Kim. Kim gets slowly back to his feet. Kim tries to clinch up but Matousek circles away and keeps his distance. Kim tries to close the distance and clinch but Matousek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kim dives in and grabs Matousek's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matousek pushes down on Kim's head and hops out. It looked like Matousek was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Kim looks winded! Kim tries to score with a low kick but Matousek moves his leg out of the way. Jab by Matousek. Matousek lands a front kick. Seung Woo Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim slaps away a takedown attempt from Matousek, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kim misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kim rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matousek moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kim on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Matousek closes the distance and clinches up with Kim, looking for a takedown. Matousek pushes Kim against the cage but Kim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matousek pinned against the cage. Matousek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Matousek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matousek off to one side. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matousek darts in and clinches Kim up against the cage. Matousek using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Kim jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Matousek walks away with a smile on his face. Kim gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kim fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Matousek clinches. Matousek's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Matousek has a takedown stuffed. Kim throws a counter combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Kim. No joy for Matousek on that attempt. Kim looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Matousek moves into the clinch. Matousek breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matousek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kim avoids it really well and circles away. Matousek stuffs the takedown. Matousek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kim sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Matousek shoots in and drives through. Kim sprawls well. Kim misses with a two punch combination.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Matousek will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jacob Matousek's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matousek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Matousek's legs - danger averted. Kim slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matousek throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Matousek is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Matousek wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. Kim will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Matousek's guard. Kim stays in close to Matousek's body and controls the position. Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matousek swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kim controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim stands and steps away. Matousek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Matousek shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kim defends it nicely. Kim swings and misses with a shot to the body and Matousek holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kim managing to block the knees to the body from Matousek.

Matousek goes for a double leg but Kim avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kim continues to drive forward. Matousek throws a head kick that misses.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kim uses from the top position. Matousek is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Matousek is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kim fails to land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Matousek avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kim throws a head kick that misses. Matousek attempts a counter takedown but Kim avoids it well and moves away. Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Matousek drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kim sprawls and moves away. Matousek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Matousek pulls guard successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim avoids the attempt from Matousek to control. Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kim is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Matousek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Matousek tries to hold on but Kim pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Matousek wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kim.
Matousek is desperately trying to improve his position but Kim has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Seung Woo Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Matousek has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
