The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bafawuse leaves Jonhson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bafawuse is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Jonhson fails with the takedown
and Bafawuse counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bafawuse.
Jonhson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bafawuse looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jonhson has picked Bafawuse up and slammed him! Bafawuse can't keep hold of the triangle and Jonhson manages to pass to side control!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A head kick misses from Jonhson.
Jonhson shoots in looking for a takedown but Bafawuse manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jonhson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abdul Hakim Bafawuse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Jonhson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bafawuse works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Jonhson wriggles free and stands up.
Bafawuse feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
