Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Palma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and thiago alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palma comes to the cage accompanied by Give It All. Palma has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palma shoots in but no luck this time.

alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palma tries to avoid it but alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palma to the ground. Palma escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Palma had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. alves is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Palma Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take alves's back instead.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from alves, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
