Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Soren Bak (ranked 1672 p4p, 168 weight class) and Paavo Masala (ranked 3696 p4p, 321 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Soren Bak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paavo Masala!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak throws a body punch but Masala moves out of range.
Bak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Masala paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Masala counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Masala thows a huge punch but Bak dodges it nicely.

Masala lands strikes from half guard.
Masala seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bak wants to improve his position but Masala is controlling well.
Masala is nestled in close to Bak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bak definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Masala thows a huge punch but Bak dodges it nicely.

Masala winds up and cracks Bak with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Masala thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bak's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Masala lands a nice short elbow.
Masala thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Masala is controlling the pace.
Bak makes his way to full guard, as Masala worked for a kimura.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masala trying to control the position from guard on top but Bak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Masala is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Masala lands a couple of elbows.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Masala's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Masala is in close to Bak's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Masala sitting in guard here, content to control.
Masala working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Bak is rocked!

Masala controls from within his opponent's guard.
Oh Bak is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Masala arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bak's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Paavo Masala!
