Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Grill (ranked 1856 p4p, 265 weight class) and Hotaru Doji (ranked 2203 p4p, 303 weight class). Doji has chosen Crane ft. Beauregard & The Down Right - Meet Me In The Garden as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Bob Grill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hotaru Doji! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Bruno Hogan and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Doji throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Grill sees it coming and avoids it easily. Doji looks to land a right hand but Grill moved out of range. Grill swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Doji connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Bob Grill has been cut. Doji has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Grill digs a good hook to Doji's body.
Doji pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Doji cracks Grill with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Grill connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Hotaru Doji has been cut. Grill moves into range and connects with a jab. Doji doesn't manage to clinch there - Grill circles away.
Grill swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Grill connects with a body shot that sends Doji's belly button to the back. Doji moves to clinch but Grill breaks away and Grill counters with a nice low kick that buckles Doji's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grill avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A counter left hand to the body from Grill misses its target. Doji throws a body shot but no joy. Grill swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Grill throws a body punch but Doji moves out of range. Doji tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Doji throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Grill tries to keep at a distance but Doji has taken the fight into the clinch. Doji tries to work over Grill's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Doji breaks from the clinch.
Grill is looking to wear down Doji with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Grill ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Doji closes the distance but Grill moves to the side and Grill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Doji misses the target. Grill moves out of range as Doji strikes. Doji scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Doji misses with a hook
and Grill makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Doji moves into range and clinches up with Grill. Doji has a couple of punches blocked by Grill.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doji is trying to push Grill away but Grill has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Grill lands with a light punch inside. Grill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hotaru Doji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Doji misses with a hook
and Grill counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Doji throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Doji on the wrong end of a nice hook. Doji falls off balance throwing a combination
and Grill counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doji looks to land a left hand but Grill moved out of range nicely. A counter left hand to the body from Grill misses its target. Doji throws a lazy uppercut
and Grill counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Doji throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grill takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Grill counters with a crisp right that sends Doji to the canvas! Grill follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Grill! Hotaru Doji was interviewed post fight and said 'We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.'.
