Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maxxy Baby (ranked 1064 p4p, 113 weight class) and Cobweb Cooter (ranked 1570 p4p, 162 weight class). Cooter has chosen Porch Honky as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maxxy Baby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cobweb Cooter! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooter looks to land a left hand but Baby moved out of range nicely. Baby takes one to the chin there. A slow jab from Cooter misses its intended target. Baby lands a body shot.
A punch combination from Baby misses. Cooter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Baby swings for the body but Cooter moves out of range.
Baby throws a shot from downtown. Cooter moves away and avoids it. A looping hook to the body misses from Baby. Cooter does a little dance to reset his feet. Baby takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cooter throws a lazy right hand but Baby sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. No joy there for Baby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Cooter counters with a nice uppercut. Nice defenses there by Baby. It looked like Baby was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cooter. Baby ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooter moves away. Baby takes a swing at Cooter's ribcage but misses. Cooter throws a nice looking combination but Baby bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cooter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baby. A telegraphed right hand from Baby misses the target. Baby misses with a looping left. Cooter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Baby is trying to keep Cooter in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baby utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baby looking to control.
Baby managing to control the position. Cooter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Baby will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Baby trying to keep a closed guard but Cooter is proving a slippery customer.

Cooter lands a nice forearm strike. Cooter working the body and head with strikes. Baby is looking to reverse the position. An elbow from Cooter crashes against the mat.

He's shot a load of snot all down Baby's shoulder. That is not cool. Cooter landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cooter cracks Baby with a big elbow. Cooter throws a strike aimed at the side of Baby's head but Baby avoids it well. Cooter wants to control but Baby is keeping him busy. Baby can't do much from the bottom here. Cooter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Baby is rocked! Cooter is looking to take a break and control but Baby is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cooter is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Baby can't do much from the bottom here. Cooter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baby avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Cooter. Baby tries to bench press Cooter off him but Cooter keeps the position. Check out the look on Cooter's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Baby can't do much from the bottom here. Cooter lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Cooter scores with a couple of short elbows. Oh Baby is still in real trouble! Cooter misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Baby holds on to Cooter's head and controls the position momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cobweb Cooter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Baby throws a looping overhand right but Cooter ducks down to avoid it. Cooter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Baby stuns Cooter with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Baby misses with a hook
and Cooter counters with a straight right hand. The crowd cheers as Cooter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Baby doesn't seem phased though. Baby looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cooter looks like he wants to counter punch here. Baby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cobweb Cooter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cooter tries to bum rush Baby with a series of wild strikes but Baby uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Baby misses with a body shot.

Cooter takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cooter staying out of range there. Cooter looks to throw the jab but Baby is out of range. Maxxy Baby is winning the standup battle so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cooter slips under a jab from Baby. Cooter wants to counter with a clinch but Baby pushes him away. Some wild striking there from Baby.

Baby obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Cooter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cooter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baby wants to control but Cooter is keeping busy and won't allow it. Baby is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cooter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Baby has his hands clasped together around Cooter's back. He's all about the action. Cooter is looking to take a break and control but Baby is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Baby moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Baby seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cooter shoots for a double leg takedown but Baby sprawls well. He's pushed Cooter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Maxxy Baby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cobweb Cooter. A jab from Baby misses. Cooter throws a right and a left that Baby avoids nicely. Baby bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baby takes a shot right to the bread basket. Baby leaves Cooter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Baby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cooter.

Baby throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cooter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Baby. Nice shot by Cooter. Baby is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cooter. Baby missing with a left hand there. Cooter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cooter wants to counter the offense by Baby and move into the clinch position. Baby lands a head shot. A big right from Cooter misses. Baby steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooter. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baby stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Cooter gets the takedown into side control. Cobweb Cooter has got the better of the ground game so far. You can see the frustration on Baby's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cooter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Maxxy Baby will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
