Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Stevens (ranked 7305 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 5465 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevens kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Woke Up This Morning. Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Television - Marquee Moon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bryant Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Joe Stevens has been cut.
Stevens closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Stevens is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Stevens trying to mount his opponent but Smith defends it.
Stevens works his foot free and advances to mount.
Smith is trying desperately to improve position.
Stevens is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Smith is surviving well by controlling Stevens's body position as best he can.
Stevens is working for a guillotine from mount but Smith frees his head quite easily.

Stevens working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smith can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stevens has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Stevens quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Smith has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Stevens celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Joe Stevens decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
